Chi no Tama [ Spirit of the Earth ] Kekkei Genkai It is unsure how this ability came into existance as all records pertaining to Shugi's are all but none existant. This could be a well established ability of his former clan or perhaps a new manifestation all its own. What is known about this ability is how it functions. Combining the elements of Katon and Doton the user is capable of creating various types of metal depending on how the elements are combined. Once this metal is created the user is then able to manipulate it in whichever way they see fit, though it requires chakra to transform the metal. This ability does not work on metals that are not produced by the body, however. It should also be noted that merely combining Katon and Doton natures will not suffice for creating the metal though. What that does is simply allow the user to manipulate the metal. However, to produce the metal in the body the user must actually eat the metallic substances. Needless to say that the user's constitution and jaws are extremely strong and durable in order to accomplish such a feat. This particular ability has been nicknamed "Kanake" or "Metallic taste." He also possesses the ability to sense when metal is nearby, which he likes to call "Kinzokutanchiki" or "Metal Detector."
Sujigane [ Metal Reinforcement ] Kekkei Genkai This is one of the primary techniques that Shugi utilizes in combat. By combining the natured chakras of Katon and Doton he manipulates the metal that is in his body. He then brings uses that metal to reinforce his entire body, turning him into a quasi-metallic being. When in this form he can manipulate his body into any means that he desires. He can also target specific areas of his body to apply this technique to, making it a very versitile ability. This technique is also a gateway for many of his other techniques.
Kanabō [ Metal Rod ] Kekkei Genkai This one of Shugi's signature techniques, and one he has utilized since he first found out about his abilities. By combining the natured chakras of Katon and Doton he is capable of transforming his limbs into thick metal rods. Seeing as it requires considerably less chakra to create a simple object such as a rod he can utilize this ability even when low on chakra. Shugi is also capable of firing off the rods from his body at high speeds, making it an unpredictable projectile.
Nobegane [ Metal Sword ] Kekkei Genkai This one of Shugi's signature techniques, and one he has utilized since he first found out about his abilities. By combining the natured chakras of Katon and Doton he is capable of transforming his limbs in sharp blades of varying sizes. This is also one the abilities that he has refined the most over the years. Now, he is not only capable of transforming his limbs into blades, but he can also create well formed katanas. What makes these katanas all the more dangerous is that he is capable of seperating them from his body, and since they are made from the metal of his body he can shape them on a whim to whatever he desires.
Shugi also possesses a lesser version of this ability. Instead of creating swords he creates shuriken and kunai. He typically fires them directly out of his body at high speeds, and because of their size they're considerably easier to produce in bulk due to the low chakra cost.
Kane Bunshin no Jutsu [ Metal Clone Technique ] Kekkei Genkai This is an ability that Shugi developed during his years in the Gunken of the Koryū Ichizoku. By combining the natured chakras of Katon and Doton he is capable of producing a clone of himself. The clone can be produced from any existing piece of metal that has been formed from his body, and can even emerge from his body itself. Being that the clone is made out of metal it is high durable against attacks, and physical techniques typically aren't effective. Each clone made can utilize the majority of the techniques that Shugi has, the metal based abilities in particular. Shugi is capable of producing up to five of these clones without causing too much of a chakra strain, but will typically only make a single clone.
Sakasa Satsui [ Reverse Killing Intent ] Genjutsu [ B-Rank ] This is an ability that is taught to all Gunken of the Koryū Ichizoku. It is a genjutsu that is designed to reflect the killing intent of others back upon themselves. Essentially, it a hypnosis technique that reflects all hostility towards him onto the person. With their own killing intent reversed upon themselves it will lead weaker minded people into killing themselves rather than attacking him. It is a subtle technique that merely requires one to lock eyes with Shugi in order for it to take place. It requires no handseals, but the sign that it has been cast is that the user's eyes will seem to glow yellow.
Shugi's Body [ Analysis ]
Endurance Shugi's body is very durable even without the assistance of his Kekkei Genkai. He has a high resistance to pain, which can be both beneficial and harmful. It comes from all of the rigorous training and fighting that he has done throughout his life -- turning him into a hardened warrior. His endurance doesn't only apply to him physically, however. Mentally, he is very sound and resilliant to torture methodology, and because of his stubbornness it is hard to sell him on an idea completely.
Speed Despite being able to completely turn his body into metal Shugi is actually a very fast individual. Training his body has allowed him to increase his speed to levels slightly higher than that of average shinobi. He has also been known to use his ability to actually propel himself foward to achieve even greater speeds than he normally could reach.
Senses Being a member of the Gunken, War Dogs, he was trained to heighten his senses and open them to the world around him. His sense of smell in particular was heightened. His sense of smell, along with his hearing, are on levels of that of a ninken. This allows him to track down nearly anyone within a certain range, and he is capable of picking up some of the subtlest of sounds. Though, his senses aren't too high that they would become a hinderance to him in the heat of battle.
